Step Into Your Authority.
Often, we feel condemnation and rejection. When we come from a place of brokenness and rejection (which we almost all do), initially Jesus heals our heart but it takes time, for changes in our life happen slowly. At some point though, we have to let go of the rejection. When we hang on to rejection, we go through the same issues time and time again. Because God set us free, we shouldn’t be living in condemnation and rejection.
God sees us through His Son and when we accept rejection, we’re not accepting His grace over us and He stands at a distance. He is still there, but not as close as we want and need. This makes it more difficult for Him to act on our behalf (never impossible, but easier if we do God’s will and let go of rejection) and it’s why we go through the same issues over and over.
So, He sees us through His Son and if we’re in His Son, we are overcomers, not rejects. We have to get rid of the spirit of rejection, if we want to overcome our issues in life. We do that by constantly focusing on His word of love, and of our righteousness and worthiness in Him.
When we let go of rejection and stand in God’s authority, then He will move mightily on our behalf. We need to be people of authority, so we can show and tell the world what God has done for us and when people see that in us, then they will listen. Then they will want what we have.
This snippet was written in relation to a woman who tried to introduce me to Jesus, when I was a non-believer. Her son had died in an accident. Her son-in-law had died of cancer and her daughter was going through cancer. At the time I thought she was a crackpot, after all, who would follow a God that allowed all that to happen?
What I didn’t know then was what kind of spiritual strength she had. I didn’t know her well. I didn’t know her level of faith. Maybe she was still in a transition phase and didn’t yet have a grasp on her authority. Perhaps she came into her authority at a later date. People die, regardless of our authority. People also live, when a believer steps up to the plate.
We all need to step it up a notch. We all need to step into our authority, the authority that moves mountains and when we can do that, then we can say to this mountain; Move! And it will be cast into the sea.
